Schilderij van boerderij bij Akkrum rond 1900
Dit olieverfschilderij is waarschijnlijk gemaakt in opdracht van de Friese boerenfamilie die in de koets zit. Helaas is nog niet bekend waar hun boerderij was gelegen. Topografisch lijkt de compositie te zijn ontsproten aan de fantasie van de kunstenaar. Bij de theekoepel was namelijk geen groot vaarwater en ook de kerk staat verkeerd om. De toren is in 1882 voorzien van een spits. Voor die tijd had de kerk een zadeldak. Afgaand op de afmetingen (64 x 54 cm) was het vermoedelijk een schoorsteenstuk. Prijs op aanvraag.

This oil painting is probably commissioned by the Frisian peasant family sitting in the coach. Unfortunately it is not yet known where their farm was located. The composition is topographically wrong, so it was probably the fantasy of the artist. Near the tea house there was no great waterway and also the church is placed wrong. The church tower is equipped with a striker in 1882. For that time the church had a gable roof. Judging from the size (64 x 54 cm) it was supposedly a chimney piece. Price on request.
